This gallery includes photographs from various periods of work including recent studies which have focused on specific personal assignments designed to focus visual discovery of a limited space such as a playground or rail depot.

1970 - 1980. Early photographs. Black and white 35mm prints that have been scanned and digital copies made. |

Study 01: Playground. The objective was to remain within a defined area and use the camera to discover possible images within that space. |

Study 02: Rail Depot. A small building next to the Amtrak station became the focus of this photographic exercise. |

Study 03: Skinner's Butte. This session explored a rock climbing area and park below Skinner's Butte in Eugene. |
 |
Study 04: Campus. The University of Oregon campus was the focus for the study of water and flowers. |

Study 05: City Streets.
This session centered around the Hult Center for the Performing Arts and Down To Earth store in Eugene. |
 |
Study 06: De Fazio Footbridge Area.
This session focused on shapes and patterns around the base of a footbridge across the Willamette. |

 |
Study 07: Willamette River and Wet Lands.
This day's session was not a focused study as others have been. However, a whole new area of the city was discovered and explored. Nice day for a walk. |

Study 08: Playground II. This session returns to the same playground as in Study 01 to further explore possible images. The shoot always ends with a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. |

Study 09: Sunday Walk. A short outing on a cloudy fall day to look at color and architectural forms. |

Study 10: Rhythm and Shadows. A morning in a forest park exploring patterns and shadows. |

Study 11: Rained Out. This shoot was a bust when it was rained out. |

Study 12: White Oaks. One of the last remaining original forest of the Willamette Valley. |

Study 14: Mausoleum and Cemetery. A 1925 structure and late 1800 Masonic cemetery. |
